FE12.3 — USB 2.0 4-Port MTT Hub Controller (with Reverse Switch)
FE12.3 is a High Speed 4-Port Hub Controller based on the design of FE1.1s, and the product offers an additional bypass feature. With tiny footprint, it is the best choice for embedded application.
Bypass Mode
Setting FE12.3 to Bypass Mode will make the Upstream Port and Downstream Port 1 a direct line, allowing OTG connection between SOC USB HOST and external device.
Battery Charging Configuration
FE12.3 could be optionally configured to support Charging Downstream Ports as defined by USB-IF Battery Charging Specification. When enabling this feature, a USB hub could be transformed into a charging station for Universal Charging Solution-compliant battery-based portable devices.
The whole chip is covered by Test Scan Chain – even on high speed (480MHz) modules. Built-In-Self-Test mode exercises all high-, full-, and low-speed Analog Front End (AFE) components at the packaging and testing stages.
