FE18.1 — USB 2.0 High Speed 4x4 Hub Controller

FE18.1 High Speed 4x4 Hub is a USB 2.0 Hub Controller with 4 Upstream Facing Ports and 4 Downstream Facing Ports; designers can narrow it down to 2, 3, or 4 Upstream Facing Ports, and select one at a time.

Multiple USB Hosts

FE18.1 is designed for implementations that use multiple USB Hosts sharing the same set of USB devices. The key advantages of FE18.1 are streamlined components and simplified PCB layout, which benefit the systems with enhanced signal quality and integrity.

Quality Guaranteed

The whole chip is covered by Test Scan Chain – even on high speed (480MHz) modules. Built-In-Self-Test mode exercises all high-, full-, and low-speed Analog Front End (AFE) components at the packaging and testing stages.

Battery Charging Configuration

FE18.1 could be optionally configured to support Charging Downstream Ports as defined by USB-IF Battery Charging Specification. When enabling this feature, a USB hub could be transformed into a charging station for Universal Charging Solution-compliant battery-based portable devices.
